VPET USA, LLC announced plans to establish its first East Coast manufacturing operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The $10.8 million investment will create 40 new jobs.
VPET is a global manufacturer of PET containers used within the nutrition, food and beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical and health care industries. As a worldwide PET packaging leader, VPET will initially use the new operation as a blow molding and injection molding facility to meet increased consumer demand for Bisphenol-A (BPA)-free PET bottles and wide-mouth jars.
VPET was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in California. The production facility is the company’s biggest strategic placement on the East Coast, coming after rapid expansion and innovation throughout the United States and abroad. The new facility will now be one of five strategically located production facilities in the United States, complementing others in California, Texas and Illinois.
